Dr. Yang’s lab focuses on two interlocking areas of investigation: the understanding of genetic and epigenetic basis underlying the brain development and developing and using stem cell models to translate human genetic findings into biological understandings on how pathogenic mutations associated with neuropsychiatric disorders alter fundamental biological processes in human neurons.
Successful candidate will work on a project investigating how numerous genomic variants in the non-coding regions associated with neuropsychiatric disorders affect the function of neurons using human stem cells models. The potential postdoc will design and execute the experiments, analyze the data under the supervision of the PI and report the progress to the PI regularly. He/she is also expected to be a good lab citizen and will work cooperatively with other members of the group.
The position offers competitive salary and exposure to a rich environment at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and the New York City area. Interested candidates should send their CV and names/contact information of 3 potential references to: Nan Yang at firstname.lastname@example.org
