Job Description

The Post-doctoral Fellow, specialized in cell and molecular biology, will be engaged in basic and translational research projects focused on the study of mechanism of reduction of adiposity induced by an FSH antibody.
The Zaidi Lab is NIH funded and is part of the Mount Sinai Bone Program. We use mouse models in which specific genes are selectively deleted in the adipocytes, osteoclasts, or osteoblasts. We aim to investigate their effect on fat and bone cells by cell phenotyping, in vitro and/or ex vivo functional assays. The fellow will be using histomorphometry, micro-CT, quantitative NMR, and molecular biology techniques to investigate how FSH inhibition affects adipose tissue and bone.
