As a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in my lab, you will participate in research studies, which focus on discovering selective inhibitor of histone methyltransferases and other chemical biology and drug discovery projects. Your main responsibilities in this research are: (1) design and synthesize molecules of interest; (2) perform analyses to confirm the identity and purity of the synthesized products; (3) analyze data and prepare reports for review with your supervisor and team members; (4) document all work according to standard procedures; (5) prepare or contribute to publications and grant applications; (6) prepare and present materials at seminars and meetings; and (7) comply with all safety rules. You are expected to dedicate approximately 40 hours per week in your role as Postdoctoral Research Associate.
