To characterize the mechanisms whereby fibrillin molecules expressed in tendon and perichondrium regulate postnatal bone growth. We have a strong interest in cell-matrix interactions, stem cell biology, TGFβ signaling and mechanobiology. The work will take advantage of a repertoire of genetically modified mice a wide range of physiological, histological and cellular and molecular biologic techniques, and computational and systems biology approaches.
