The Electrophysiology Lab at the Mount Sinai Hospital provides treatment for all types of arrhythmias using cutting edge methods and equipment. The EP lab offers personalized, patient centered care to patients with heart rhythm disorders. Nurses work alongside highly skilled physicians and with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare personnel, including technologists and imaging specialists.
We are currently in need of a Nurse Manager to oversee the following:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of an EP Lab made up of 3 procedure rooms and 17 pre-and-post procedural rooms with a 1:1 nurse to patient ratio. The lab work schedules for staff is typically in the mornings from 7am-730pm and evenings 930am-10pm and 11am-1130pm.
- The nurses provide pre-procedure care, including testing, assessment and monitoring, work along side physicians and anesthesiologists during procedures and care for patients in the recovery period. They provide support and education for patients and families at all phases of EP procedures.
- BSN, required
- MSN, strongly preferred
- BCLS/ACLS, required
- 2-4 years in previous experience in EP Lab, Cardiac Telemetry, Cardiac Step-down, and Cardiac Arrhythmias
- Skills in sedation and analgesia
