7 East and KCC 4North at the Mount Sinai Hospital are partner units which care primarily for patients with coronary artery disease having interventional cardiology procedures and/or electrophysiology studies. 7 East has a specialty sub-unit for Trans-catheter Aortic Valve Replacement patients, and provides care for patients with other cardiac disorders such as congestive heart failure.
We are currently in need of a Nurse Manager to oversee the following:
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of a 35 bedded unit with a 1:4 nurse to patio ratio in the procedural room and a 1:5 in the regular rooms.
- The unit provides comprehensive care in conjunction with the interdisciplinary care team for patients with coronary artery disease, both pre- and post-intervention, as well as for patients with other cardiac disorders.
- BSN, required
- MSN, strongly preferred
- BCLS/ACLS, required
- 2-4 years in previous experience in Cardiac Telemetry or general Cardiac, required
- Working knowledge of Cardiac Medications, required
