Job Title: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager
 
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
As an SEO Manager, you will be a part of a dynamic team, engaging with stakeholders, copywriters and Central Marketing teams to increase Mount Sinai’s organic visibility and drive local search initiatives. In this role, you will be a trusted advisor, responsible for developing the SEO strategy, driving growth for an exciting healthcare brand and strengthening its position within existing core markets. As an SEO Manager, you are tasked with performing and presenting SEO analyses, implementing recommendations, providing gap analysis, and educating others on how to drive organic campaigns forward.
 
  • Develop Mount Sinai’s overall SEO strategy, roadmap and approaches.
  • Conduct keyword research and analysis, and provide recommendations to further enhance Mount Sinai’s online presence.
  • Conduct competitive research and analysis to find new link opportunities, develop and execute link building strategies, and monitor link quality
  • Work closely with the central marketing teams to implement an optimized SEO approach to the site infrastructure
  • Partner closely with copywriters to create compelling content rooted in organic search data and best practices and reverse engineer trending topics and relevant long tail queries
  • Work closely with in-house developers to enhance technical SEO efforts, crawlability, structured data, redirects, etc.
  • Report regularly on SEO KPIs, including Ranking, Traffic, and CTR's across our various services
  • Dive into SEO-relevant data to transform data sets into actionable insights and develop tactical next steps to drive organic acquisition
  • Build relationships with and educate individuals on the value of organic and content marketing to turn strategies into actions
  • Research and keep up on industry trends
     
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and education - Marketing, Computer Science, Statistics, Communications or similar area of study preferred
  • 6+ years of proven experience leading SEO/SEM programs, preferably in healthcare at an agency or in-house
  • Past-proven experience at successfully managing and implementing SEO initiatives for enterprise websites
  • Deep understanding of organic search and SEO best practices, as well as the main obstacles that can hold back SEO efforts
  • Hands on experience with industry tools such as SEMRush, SEO Moz, Bright Edge, Conductor, Botify, Ahrefs, and DeepCrawl
  • Experience with A/B and multi-variant testing, including using tools such as Google Optimize and Optimizely
  • Knowledge of various technologies and their effect on SEO
  • Experience implementing technical and content-focused SEO tactics independently or by working with developers
  • Deep understanding of user journeys and experience working with content teams to identify content gaps, perform keyword research, and make recommendations to support the user journey.
  • Ability to collaborate with both developers and content creators to accomplish objectives
  • Experience with schema.org tagging and other data formats that support SEO
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of SEO and paid digital best practices and act as an evangelist and trainer for internal stakeholders on SEO, digital marketing trends, tools and tactics
