Job Title: Director of Marketing, Network Development 
Roles & Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing for Network Development will work closely with Central Marketing leadership as well as stakeholders within Network Development to strategically align Network priorities with available resources and optimize the marketing mix to successfully support an ever-expanding set of medical practices that fall under the purview of Network Development. This position requires experience and strong strategic abilities.  The role will require analyzing marketing challenges and proactively offering and developing strategic solutions that drive overall practice growth and support both the Network business plan and the Mount Sinai brand.  The ideal candidate has experience in hospital-related Network Development and/or healthcare business-to-business experience.  Given the focus on physician engagement, experience in physician marketing/outreach is also a plus.
  • Responsible for determining best practices for Network Development and applying a strategic lens to maximize Network practice relationships and referrals.
  • Responsible for developing physician-to-physician strategies that support Network practice and physician referral development.
  • Responsible for recommending team structure – best practices – to support Network Development in collaboration with the Executive Team.
  • Responsible for developing and overseeing Marketing and Communications efforts for network practices, affiliates and off sites, including the South Nassau Communities Hospital and local practices. Collaborate with Digital Marketing and Social Media teams on all initiatives. 
  • Management of direct report(s), serve as a mentor to cultivate junior staff. Plan and recommend personnel management policies. Perform staff management functions including recruitment, training, and disciplinary action. Develop performance evaluation based metrics for continued growth.
  • Develop and present an annual integrated Network marketing plan that provides a market analysis, competitive overview, tactical plan and rationale for the Network Marketing budget recommendations. Plan and recommend financial management policies. 
  • Collaborate with our Brand Team as well as oversee and manage Network branding for off-site practices as well as affiliates to ensure continuity across the network. Develop and manage policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and established brand standards.
  • Oversee the development of marketing initiatives related to Mount Sinai International, LLC, which may include providing support with branding and name development.
  • Develop strong business relationships and collaborate with senior clinical and business executives to foster the development of health network strategies and the advancement of key institutional marketing initiatives. Proactively contribute to strategic discussions with stakeholders around marketing challenges and potential solutions. This includes Network Development executives as well as the South Nassau team.
  • Analyze available market research to help develop and support physician and practice strategies. Leverage key insights to develop marketing strategies supporting physician multispecialty practices in radically diverse geographies. 
  • Oversee marketing campaign tracking and lead the analysis and presentation of campaign results and recommendations for improvement. 
  • Oversee the management of advertising and media placement agencies and creative vendors, set expectations for work to be completed and ensure all goals are met. Troubleshoot when needed.
  • Oversee the creative development process and ensure that all marketing content and executions meet quality requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • BS/BA in Marketing, Communications or related field. 
  • Masters in Business Administration, Public Administration, or Marketing required. 
  • Minimum Related: 7+ years of business experience, client management, public relations, public affairs, or media relations. Marketing experience in healthcare as well as experience working in a matrix organization preferred.
