Roles & Responsibilities: 
We are looking for research scientist to tackle important and highly visible problems in computational and systems biology. The successful candidates will apply advance and novel computational techniques to generate and mine massive datasets. It is expected that promising techniques will be applied to novel therapeutic discovery, disease prevention, and biomarker. Projects include but not limited to: 1) Structural variants (SV) and microbiome analysis for large-scale whole-genome sequencing datasets; 2) data analysis for large-scale genetic and genomic datasets (e.g. polygenic risk score analysis).


Candidates applying for this position should have a recent doctor or master degree in statistics, biostatistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or related fields. Strong candidates will have experience with data-intensive real-world problems and the discipline and motivation to pursue independent research in computational and systems biology

Applicants are expected to have a solid background in programming and computational techniques, with a working knowledge of microarrays, next-generation sequencing, molecular biology and genetics being highly desirable.
