Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute
A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Susan K. Fried, Ph.D., Professor in the Diabetes, Obesity and Metabolism Institute at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, in New York City. The lab focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms the regulate human adipose tissue growth and adipocyte function. Current projects address depot and sex differences in adipose tissue composition, adipogenesis, and adipocyte metabolism and secretory function.
Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD degree. Research experience in the fields of metabolism and metabolic disease (e.g. diabetes, cardiovascular), cell culture, basic molecular biology, immunology and immunocytochemistry is desirable. Moreover, we seek candidates that are highly motivated, have a record of scientific publications, strong communication skills and scientific curiosity.
Interested candidates should send their curriculum vitae, with a description of their scientific interests and future goals, and names and contact information of three referees to firstname.lastname@example.org
