Research in the lab is focused on adipose tissue biology in human obesity. The lab focuses on understanding the cellular and molecular mechanisms of adipocyte function in obesity and type 2 diabetes, including how fat distribution is regulated and how it affects metabolic health.
Applicants must have a PhD and/or MD with research experience in cell and molecular biology. Experience in clinical/translational research is desirable. Your responsibilities will include the design, execution and supervision of research projects in these areas. The research position will involve the use of human samples of adipose tissue and blood, cell and organ culture culture and molecular biology techniques.
