Roles & Responsibilities:
Clinical Data Entry and Medical Report Organizer,
Precise MD. We are leading next generation cancer assays leveraging large scale computing combined with comprehensive data sets to advance diagnostic and treatment decisions for patients. Our groundbreaking systems are designed to support an “Augmented Intelligence” paradigm where systematic and repeatable computing techniques are efficiently married with the clinical process to improve outcomes, reduce patient anxiety, and democratize the availability of high-quality medicine.
We at Precise specialize in AI and Deep learning methods in digital pathology and are looking for summer interns for a clinical data entry project for three months. Candidates need to have excellent communication, diligence, and comprehension skills. Special consideration will be given to candidates with interest in data science applications in medicine and in particular candidates with experience using medical terminology. Ability to positively interact and engage as a team member in a collaborative environment is essential. The job involves reading electronic medical reports (EMR data) and summarizing important details to build a database which will be used for building prognostic models using artificial intelligence and deep learning methods. An interest and a natural curiosity in learning aspects of the medical field or facility and prior experience involving medical records or work experience in a hospital setting would be advantageous.
- Education: HS Diploma/GED, enrolled in an accredited Bachelor’s Degree Program
- Experience: Interest in coding and data science who would also help us fine tune the proprietary web application we developed to streamline robust data collection
- Candidates who are open to continuing in the Fall on a part-time basis, are preferred
