Roles & Responsibilities:

Registers patients by recording clinical, financial and demographic information.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Enters clinical, financial, and demographic information into computer system
  • Greets patients entering registration area
  • Answers telephones and directs messages to appropriate parties
  • Collects payments from patients for services rendered
  • Processes third party payer requests for payment
  • Schedules patient appointments, referrals and consults on computer/manual system
  • Provides information to Billing, Accounting and Medical Records
  • Deposits and reconciles all cash against deposits and posted transactions
  • Ensures deposits are safeguarded and secured in accordance with
    organizational policy
  • High school diploma or general education diploma (GED) and some college required
  • Experience in a medical/customer service environment preferred
