Roles & Responsibilities:

The Department of Psychiatry, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, NY is seeking to appoint a research assistant under the supervision of Dr. Sophia Frangou, head of the Frangou Lab. This position is available for 1 year with the option of extension. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to recruit patients with schizophrenia and their siblings for a brain imaging study.

 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with the psychiatric services within the Mount Sinai Health System to identify suitable study participants
  • Conduct clinical and computerized cognitive assessments in study participants
  • Liaise with the Translational and Molecular Imaging Institute to book scans and attend scanning sessions with study participants
  • Performs other related duties
 
 
Requirements:
  • BA or Master’s degree in psychology or related sciences
  • Prior experience in working with psychiatric patients is desirable but not essential
  • Computer and General Skills:
    • Advanced skills in using the Microsoft Office Suits
    • Fluent in English written and oral communication
    • Fluency with additional languages (esp. Spanish) is desirable but not essential
