Roles & Responsibilities:

Assists in subject recruitment, screening, and task administration.

 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • This position has responsibility for subject recruitment, for study coordination, training subjects, and running the experimental protocols with subjects
  • The research coordinator will participate in fielding initial responses to advertisements and outreach, conducting initial screens of potential subjects, and scheduling appointments for evaluation
  • Research coordination tasks include scheduling initial psychological and medical evaluations, administering assessment instruments, coordination with the MRI imaging center at Mount Sinai, scheduling scanning sessions, tracking patients through the protocol, facilitating patient compliance, and contacting patients who miss appointments
  • The research coordinator instructs subjects in performing the imaging tasks, trains them in the distancing technique and accompanies them during the scan procedure
  • The research coordinator is also responsible for monitoring and keeping consent forms and completed assessment instruments
  • Performs other related duties
 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
  • 6 months in research environment
  • Computer and General Skills:
    • MS Word, Excel
    • Excellent written and oral communication
