The Government Channels Team within MSHP is part of the Clinical Operations Team that drives the implementation and ongoing improvement of clinical initiatives that enable Mount Sinai to deliver better value to its patients, its providers, its customers (i.e., plan sponsors and payers), and its partners. The Government Channels Team focuses on MSHP’s work with federal and state government payers (Medicare and Medicaid) and includes understanding and advising MSHP on changes to federal and state policies that affect our work, manage the operational work related to participation in programs such as the Medicare Shared Savings Program, and collaborating with partners throughout MSHP and Mount Sinai on these initiatives.  


Role Summary


MSHP is seeking a Project Coordinator to join the Government Channels team. The Project Coordinator will support MSHP’s work through successful management of both short term projects and ongoing operational/governance needs related to federal, state, and other programs/contracts in which Mount Sinai participates. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for tracking deliverables, coordinating efforts across various stakeholders inside and outside of MSHP.




·         Manage certain routine operations for Mount Sinai’s participation in the Medicare Shared Savings Program including but not limited to:

o    Provider agreement and notification tracking

o    Data Use Agreement addenda submission and tracking

o    Annual ACO certification process preparation

o    Preparing communications materials for providers and beneficiaries

·         Maintain project schedules for various Government Channels related programs

·         Work with Senior Director and Associate Director to understand policy and programmatic changes to government programs in which Mount Sinai participates and adjust operations accordingly

·         Provide support to Senior Director in coordinating governance of MSHP contracting entities, including but not limited to preparation for board and committee meetings, retreats, and orientation for board members.

·         Report and document the status of projects including both routine and ad hoc efforts

  • Attend project meetings as requested and prepare agenda, necessary pre-work, meeting minutes and next steps
  • Work with Senior Director and Associate Director to identify gaps, risks and resolutions
  • Coordinate with other  teams inside and outside of MSHP to ensure project success
  • Provide secondary contact support to the project stakeholders
  • Other duties as assigned




  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-4 years professional experience
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments/projects simultaneously
  • Expertise in Microsoft business software in particular Excel, Word, Visio and Powerpoint, and Project
