Job Title: Manager Operations

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

Work collaboratively with Manager to accomplish strategic goals of the Chart Completion area and the Health Info Mgmt Department. Supervise the day to day activities of the Chart Completion staff. Responsible for all facets of the VDI system and activity of the transcription service to assure timely receipt of dictated reports.
1. Under the direction of the Chart Completion Manager participates and assists in all activities/steps within the Suspension Process and Cycle.
2. Supervises and monitors daily workflow of the Chart Completion staff and assignments.
3. Monitors production of dictation service including daily checks of the Chart-print Server, DDSI and rebooting of ChartScript /ChartFax systems.
4. Troubleshoots problems with Hypertype dictation service, SoftMed and related systems. Works with doctors to edit reports and correct identified errors to maintain the integrity of data.
5. Liaison with IT and Coordinator of Computer Systems regarding computer problems of transcription and VDI.
6. Completes document purge in ChartScript based on active document limit.
7. Generates weekly and end of month reports to track delinquency rate, productivity and document production. Performs analytical skills to statistical reports to engage process improvement and efficiency. 
8. Maintains accuracy of timecards for payroll. 
9. Participates and assists in departmental QI activities.
10. Develops and maintains good working relationships with other department personnel, supervisors, etc.
11. Participates in departmental projects and is a team player.
12. Answers the telephone and provides assistance as required.
13. Performs various other related duties as may be deemed necessary or as directed by immediate supervisor/managerial staff member.
14. Maintains department/hospital confidentiality procedures.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent reuiqred.   BA/BS preferred.  1-2 years Medical Records experience and excellent knowledge and navigational skills within a variety of systems and databases. RHIT preferred.
