Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design and implementation of patient specific therapeutic exercise programs, both individual and group programs
  • Treat and educate medically complex patients on disease management, symptom management and appropriate behavioral modifications
  • Perform follow-up on all patient therapeutic interventions
  • Document and provide feedback on patient progress
  • Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals directly involved in patient care
  • Prepare and maintain required reports and statistics
  • Performs other related duties
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, required. Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, optional
  • Minimum of two (2) years related work experience in exercise physiology required
  • Proficiency in ECG monitoring and interpretation
  • Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES) from the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
  • Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) from American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation (AACVPR)- this certification obtained or planning to sit for exam
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification, required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required
  • Cardiac Rehabilitation Experience Phase II and exercise testing, required
