Roles & Responsibilities:
  • We seek a postdoctoral fellow who will work in a lab of Hirofumi Morishita, MD, PhD at department of psychiatry at Icahn school of Medicine at Mount Sinai, New York City. The goal of this position is to identify the key developmental regulatory mechanisms of cognitive function such as attention and social cognition from the molecular, circuit to the behavioral level. Potential project will combine circuit-specific electrophysiology/imaging with circuit-specific genetic and viral manipulation of gene expression and neural activity.

 


 

Requirements:
  • The fellow's qualifications should coincide with those required to advance the research projects in the laboratory. These involve the design and execution of experiments, the analysis and communication of data in form of research articles and oral presentations and the care of surgical and post-surgical experimental subjects (mice). The fellow will also participate in weekly lab meetings in which the members of the laboratory report and discuss their recent findings.
