Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Prepares grant submissions including budget preparations, reporting of program statistics and the implementation of data collection procedures
  • Coordinates post-award submissions, including competitive/non-competitive continuations, transfers and closeouts
  • Maintains a library of bio-sketches, other support, and training records for grant proposals
  • Maintains liaison with staff in other departments to coordinate program activities including training grants; to accomplish program objectives; and to ensure cooperative efforts are enhanced and available resources are utilized
  • Monitors and evaluates program effectiveness; demonstrates continuous efforts to improve support operations and systems, to streamline work processes and to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the program
  • Supervises Administrative Assistant I for planning, coordination and implementation of seminars, conferences and workshops. Recommends new ideas and concepts for program themes, materials and resources to supplement, expand or replace existing program components
  • Prepares minutes of meetings, agendas, correspondence, statistical reports, tables and other documents and transcribes dictation as needed
  • Prepares and follows up on purchase orders, change orders, check requests and employee reimbursements
  • Provides assistance to the staff
  • Maintains HR record keeping
  • Performs other related duties
Requirements: 
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Experience: 1-2 years of grant coordinator experience
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and assignments
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
