Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as integral member of GME team overseeing a portion of residency and fellowship programs at one of the largest accredited sponsors of GME programs nationwide. 
  • Serve as a resource and primary contact for assigned program leadership, program coordinators, faculty and trainees
  • Interpret and apply ACGME, other national accrediting agencies, and hospital policies to support compliance
  • Coordinate accreditation site visits, self-studies and special reviews for assigned programs.
  • Oversee program letters of agreement for trainee rotations within and outside the Mount Sinai Health System
  • Monitor trainee duty hours and operative/case experience via regular development and review of data reports
  • Analyze Annual Program Evaluations (APE) and ACGME Annual Updates, including verification of appropriate program-level policies and procedures
  • Serves as an administrative lead for the Hospital-Based Sub-Committee.
  • In partnership with the Sr House Staff Coordinator, provide oversight of House Staff appointments which include but are not limited to appointments, granting of privileging, credentialing, promotions, etc.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to interact professionally and maintain confidentiality with broad range of leaders across the health system.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects with careful attention to detail, accuracy and deadlines.
  • Strong problem solving skills, with ability to formulate practical solutions.
  • Ability to interpret and apply hospital, governmental and accrediting body (ACGME) policies to support compliance.
  • Advanced competency in a paperless computer environment and understanding of data integrity standards (MS Office Suite, Adobe Professional, document scanning/storage, web-based applications and tools, etc.); working knowledge of New Innovations Residency Management System a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent combination of education and/or experience considered.
  • 3-5 years relevant experience, preferably in an academic setting.
