The Per Diem Echocardiograph Technologist is responsible for acquiring and interpreting m-mode, 2-D, pulse and continuous Doppler and color Doppler echocardiograms, contrast echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms, as well as completing echo worksheets and performing all necessary calculations in a timely manner.


Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Staff member will be responsible for the care of adult and geriatric patients
  • Each staff member will rely on his/her past experiences, as well as their professional training with the geriatric and adult patient, to meet these standards
  • Staff training will be reinforced by the following methods:
    a. continuing education required to keep a Current Registry status
    b. video/digital presentations (both in the hospital and outside)
    c. seminars and conferences addressing cutting edge technology as well as reinforcement of the basics
  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree preferred. Current Registry status
  • Experience: At least 2 years as an Echocardiographer preferred/ Experience with performing Stress Echocardiograms
