Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a 14 bedded Palliative Care unit with 16 FTEs made up of an RN, 10 Patient Care Associates, 3 Business Associates, and a few Nurse Practitioners. 
  • The unit offers services for cancer, cardiac disease such as congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), kidney failure, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
  • Patient experience/satisfaction projects as necessary

 

Requirements:
  • BSN, required
  • Masters in health care related field, preferred (earned or enrolled)
  • NYS RN
  • 3-5 years of progressive management experience
  • Prior knowledge in Palliative Care/Hospice concepts
