DevOps Engineer - Clinical Data Science

Are you ready to create and manage the Big Data Infrastructure? Are you interested on research and development of state of art open-source technologies?


Duties and Responsibilities:

The DevOps Engineer will work on implementing and maintaining on premise and cloud big data infrastructure.


Ø  Build and manage big data infrastructure using proprietary and open-source technologies such as Mirth Connect, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, MongoDB and Splunk.

Ø  Develop and manage continuous deployment pipeline using Docker Container, Kubernetes and Atlassian Bitbucket.

Ø  Work on deployment and maintenance of machine learning apps such as Recommendation Engine and Deep-learning based Classifier.

Ø  Provide technical and engineering support for Linux  servers administration, access controls for users, and management and administration of Microsoft Azure  cloud.

Ø  Develop and implement infrastructure monitoring and de-bugging solution using Splunk, Plotly and Nagios.

Ø  Create weekly report regarding the health of infrastructure and machine learning apps

Ø  Additional responsibilities include developing prototypes and proof of concepts for the selected use cases, and implementing complex real-time machine learning infrastructure.


Basic Qualification:

Ø  Master degree in computer science or related field (e.g. Information Technology, Software Engineering)

Ø  Minimum 3 years real world DevOps experience building and maintaining complex systems, and automating, installing and configuration of software, e.g. Apache,  Jetty, Jira, Confluence.

Ø  Intermediate Knowledge of at-least one programming language (Java, Python, Perl, Go, Scala) 

Ø  Knowledge of configuring and managing Linux and Window Servers

Ø  Knowledge of configuring and managing database system like, PostgreSQL and MySQL.

Ø  Knowledge of Managing Cloud environment like Azure and AWS.

Ø  Detailed working knowledge of networking and control access to hosting environments

Ø  Working knowledge of Ansible and other dev-ops automation tools

Ø  Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies.


Preferred Qualification:

Ø  Knowledge of managing and creating Hadoop and Spark cluster

Ø  Knowledge of managing and creating of MongoDB cluster

Ø  Working experience on the messaging systems like Apache Kafka and Rabbit MQ

Ø  System Administration experience is plus.
