Job Title: Clinical RN Manager  

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

The Clinical Manager of Executive Services is responsible for management of the operational and clinical needs of the executive services department with an emphasis on organizing the care of executive patients coming to Mount Sinai Health System for treatment. Main responsibilities include all clinical triage, patient advocacy, patient education, financial coordination, and follow-up with all client service needs during an admission visit as well as pre and post hospitalization. Clinical liaison providing 24/7 coverage for the department on a rotational basis.
A. Manage a concierge department that is responsible for coordinating the operational, referral and clinical needs of the Mount Sinai Health System Board of Trustees, Ancillary Board, as well as Donor and Corporate Donor community, International Patient Services, Executive Health and all new relationships which the institution extends our services to.
B. Responsible for creating an environment of service excellence through positive interactions with patients, their families, visitors, physicians, and hospital staff.
C. Coordinate and secure outpatient and inpatient referrals to appropriate medical services as needed for dedicated patient population.
D. Manage resources through interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
E. Greets and directs patients entering the MSHS in a professional manner that follows institution and department mission, vision and values.
F. Clinical liaison providing 24/7 coverage for the department on a rotational basis.
G. Partner with Business and Network Development to create and implement best practice models for referring patients to Mount Sinai Health System.
H. Facilitate resolution of complaints/grievances/requests for specified patient population.
I. Serves as a resource and educator to the patient and her/his family.
J. Intervenes on behalf of the patient and organization to reduce avoidable emergency room visits or unnecessary hospital admissions.
K. Identifies, analyzes, organizes, and solves problems and issues in a timely, effective manner; uses data and input from others to make sound, timely decisions.
L. Participate in special projects requiring clinical expertise related to new business being explored by the organization.
M. Implements new department programs and expand existing ones.
N. Interviews, hires, evaluate, counsels and when necessary dismisses staff within department.
O. Prepares operational and financial reports for analyses.
P. Conducts care management assessments on international patients to determine barriers to self-care.
Q. Chart review and rounding of all executive and international patients while admitted.
R. Other duties as assigned by Department Executive Director or Vice President.

Requirements:

NYS RN with BSN and at least two years of acute care clinical RN experience.  Experience in care coordination highly desired.  Master’s degree preferred.
