Job Title: Marketing Strategist


The Marketing Strategist must have a strong understanding of the marketing strategies and tactics that drive customer acquisition, (i.e. SEM, SEO, display, email, content marketing, print, out-of-home, and direct mail) and own the strategic development, implementation and execution of campaigns. In this role, the Marketing Strategist will approach campaigns in a data driven and analytical manner and be responsible for ensuring content, usability, and appearance are optimal for heightening the visibility of Mount Sinai and strengthening its reputation as preeminent in the areas of health care, medical education, and scientific research. 


 
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • As a Marketing Strategist, you’ll develop and manage the delivery and execution of customized marketing campaigns that address customer acquisition, customer retention, and lead nurturing goals:
  • Work with the Central Marketing teams, identify an appropriate mix of marketing tactics (digital, print, out-of-home, direct mail) to achieve acquisition and retention objectives
  • Drive the growth of Mount Sinai’s customer base by exploring new opportunities for growth and improvement through testing, market research and data analysis
  • Develop engagement and retention strategies to drive increased engagement and retention across all channels
  • Identify new, emerging, and creative channels and tactics to acquire and engage Mount Sinai’s target audiences
  • Manage budget associated with marketing activities
  • Identify and communicate actionable insights from data and analytics to drive audience engagement:
  • Provide insights and analysis on all campaign key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance metrics
  • Work with external agencies to execute campaigns, measure and report on effectiveness
  • Manage campaign performance reports and share results across teams to ensure campaign evolution
  • Stay ahead of industry trends by maintaining a thorough understanding of marketing best practices, new tools, relevant industry benchmarks, and KPIs

 

Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience required.
Minimum Related Experience:

  • Seven plus years of demonstrated work experience in PR, advertising, marketing communications, or related field
  • Experience in health care marketing is a plus
  • Experience in developing, writing, and presenting integrated marketing strategies
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, display, paid social, out-of-home, print, direct mail, and other marketing tactics
  • Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Working knowledge of digital tactics, networks, design, and user experience best practices
  • Strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience identifying resources and managing and maintaining budgets
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage details while responding to changing priorities and feedback
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with un-prompted follow-through
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Ability to extract meaning and suggest strategic action items from data and metrics
  • Innovative and creative thinking balanced with practical big-picture thinking
  • Ability to set priorities  along with a sense of urgency
  • Organized and meticulous attention-to-detail with strong tactical execution and an overall passion for continual improvement
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
