Roles & Responsibilities:

The Mount Sinai Health System is comprised of seven hospitals and over 300 remote sites, located in the New York City area which has a regional telecommunication environment. 


  • The job requires the candidate to have excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as the ability to meet with upper management to address any telecommunication requirements
  • The candidate should be able to develop policies and procedures to ensure the stability and expansion of the existing telecommunication environment.
  • The candidate should have a strong technical and financial background in the telecommunication industry. 
  • They should have a clear understanding on how to manage large dial plans, in depth know of networking, the Cisco Systems Unify Communication environment, SIP protocols, etc. 
  • They should be able to negotiate contracts with vendors and carriers as well as develop budgets and manage projects.

Requirements:
  
Experience: 
  • The candidate should have worked in a large enterprise environment for the last 5+ years managing over 20,000 phones and a call center with over 300 agents, previous employment in the health care industry is preferred.
  • 12 years of progressive information systems management experience preferably in a health care field. 
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills 
 
Education:  
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is in the related field.
