Roles & Responsibilities:

The Pfleger Lab is looking for candidates with undergraduate training in biology or a related field such as chemistry.

 
Duties:
  • Tissue culture work using Drosophila (fruit fly) tissue culture cells and mammalian tissue culture cells
  • Molecular cloning
  • Standard bench work including gel electrophoresis and Western blotting
  • Overseeing supplies and chemicals in the lab
  • Drosophila work including stock maintenance, genetic crosses, dissection, and immunohistochemistry
  • Provide other technical support to me and other members of the lab
 
 
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in science or related field required
  • 0-2 year of research/laboratory experience
  • Appropriate verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
