Registered Dietitian (RD) - Outpatient Clinic at Mount Sinai St. Luke's - Full-time - 70009
Assesses nutritional status including biochemical and clinical measures as well as nutrient and energy requirements.
Develops nutrition care plans and counsels patient and involves other concerned persons in the nutrition principles of the prescribed diet, adapting the diet plan to the individual’s lifestyle.
Documents care plan and progress in medical record as well as recommending appropriate follow-up.
Conducts nutrition classes to patients and evaluates effectiveness. Plans for alternate mehods and/or systems for nutrition education (programmed, audio-visual) when appropriate.
Develops and utilizes educational materials for use in teaching,in coordination with the Food and Nutrition Department.
BS Degree and/or Masters in Food and Nutrition.
- Outpatient Nutritionist/Dietician experience required
Completion of approved American Dietetic Association program for qualifying experience.
Maintain RD status throughout employment.
RD Certification (Registered Dietitian)
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
