Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Clinical/Technical/Service
  1. Makes connections to new electrical installations, removes and replaces defective wiring and conduits
  2. Tests circuits to comply with safety regulations, written and oral instructions
  3. Cleans and makes minor repairs to motors and electrical fixtures, both high and low voltages
  4. Installs and maintains electrical communication and generator systems and equipment according to standard practice of trade and safety regulations set up by State and local governments
  5. Provides maintenance, service and preventive maintenance on all electrical equipment
    B. Organizational/Managerial
  6. Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities
  7. Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information
    C. Educational/Professional Development
  8. Participates in the development of other staff members
  9. Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements
  10. Identifies learning strengths and needs
  11. Utilizes learning resources
    D. Communication/Relationships
  12. Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families and significant others
  13. Displays courtesy, tact and patience during interactions with all members of the hospital staff and extended community
  14. Adheres to Continuum’s legal and ethical standards
  15. May be required to perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIRED
Vocational or High School degree.
EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
