What You’ll Do:
  • Responsible and accountable for the nursing care of the patients in his/her clinic

  • Functions in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, the current Federal and State regulations governing the use and the dispensing of methadone and the guidelines for patient care set by the Program’s Administration

  • Works collaboratively with all members of the clinic staff to facilitate the best possible patient care

  • Demonstrates the ability to safely administer any medication allowed by New York State law and in accordance with BIMC/MMTP policies and procedures

  • Demonstrates knowledge of actions, dosage and side effects of medications, including methadone, as used in narcotic addiction treatment


     


What You’ll Bring:
  • Graduate of an accredited program of nursing or nursing education BSN
  • CPR for Health Care Providers

  • Cardiac Experience, at least 3 years

  • Current nursing registration or temporary permit to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse
