What You’ll Do:

  1. Assists Project Managers on every phase of a construction project from inception to sign off within an active hospital and to run small projects, under the direction of Project Managers, within the Hospital
  2. Effectively assists with the monitoring of the contractors safety management program including PPE, ILSMs and ICRA
  3. Coordinates, under the direction of the Project Manager, the activities of outside architectural and engineering design consultants on larger projects
  4. Assists with the monitoring the progress of moderate to difficult construction, relative to schedule, cost and quality
  5. Minimizes the disruption to hospital patients, staff and service due to construction
  6. Assists with the reviews of bid documents, drawings and coordinates pre-bid activities
  7. Assists with periodic project management meetings with architectural and engineering consultants, contractors, subcontractors and user clients
  8. Makes timely decisions and effectively communicates to the Project Manager in the field as unexpected conditions arise
  9. Assists the Project Manager with the monitoring of contractor's performance for compliance with plans and specifications and applicable codes
  10. Schedules shut downs, tie-ins ;and in-house activities with engineering
  11. Coordinates and schedules work with other departments
  12. Coordinates move-in activities with user departments move coordinators
  13. Maintains complete project files through project close out
  14. Informs superiors of status and issues of construction projects
  15. Examines construction work at the direction of the PM, reports findings, and follows up with communication to the project team, monitors any required corrective work

College Graduate, Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
Hospital experience, or equivalent institutional facilities management department experience.
