Job Description

Position is to control the order process of supplies as well as to maintain and distribute stock to all areas of the Center both Medical and Non Medical Supplies to help assure that the Center runs smoothly.

  1. 30% checking stock status, monthly physical inventory reconciliation, entering orders into the HIS systems, placing orders with different vendors and rotating stock. (8 times a day/ 5 days a week
  2. 20% counting stock already in the Ominicell, replenishing Omnicell with new stock in four different areas of the center which include Medical and Office Supplies and rotating stock. May be required to run Omnicell backup. (4 times a day/ 5 days a week)
  3. 20% Restocking Purchasing Dept. where all the centers stock is stored. (4 to 5 days a week)
  4. 5% Trouble shooting for different depts. As it relates to requisitions, Omnicell and printing requisitions, etc. (3 to 4 times a week)
  5. 10% Placing and Closing Stationary Orders for the Center, and placing office supply orders for different depts. (3 times a day/ 5 days a week)
  6. 5% Receiving Stock from different companies and problem solving for as it relates to backorders. (5 days a week)
  7. 3% Delegating Items of non stock to different depts. Via Transportation Oderlies. (5 days a week)
  8. 2% Other administrative duties as assigned. Mailing Items for different depts. Via Fed-X. (1 to 2 days a week)

Nursing, Secretaries, Clerks, Radiation and Radiology Staff are contacted on a daily basis to assure that their areas are properly stocked and on occasions to place specialty orders for different individuals as well as to instruct some of the clerical staff on how to place certain orders such as stationary and office supply items that they may need. I also contact transporters numerous times per day for pick-u;p and delivery of supplies.
