What You’ll Do:

  • Functions as a member of a patient focused multidisciplinary care team providing a full range of services to patients in an assigned area.
  • Competent in Arrhythmia detection, communicates pertinent patient information.
  • Performs telemetry monitoring (attach leads, review history mode, etc), Monitors and observes multiple telemetry channels.  Records and reports significant changes in cardiac status to RN/MD
  • Obtains hard wire strips for each patient during the shift and at any time a significant change of rhythm occurs.  Enters all new patients in telemetry. 
  • Assures all telemetry unit monitors are functioning properly.
  • Checks and updates log books.  Obtain and record vitals.  Collect specimens and documentation.
  • Participates in the patient’s admission and orientation to the unit.  Perform and assist patients with activities of daily living as needed.  Assist with procedures and treatments as needed.  Assist with respiratory needs as needed.  Assist with achieving nutritional needs as needed.  Maintains patient safety.
  • Other duties as assigned. 

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma
  • Successful completion of Arrhythmia Modules, Passing Dysrhythmia recognition exam
  • Competent in Arrhythmia detection.  EKG certification
  • Computer skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients and families.
