Job Title: Social Worker
Roles & Responsibilities:
Work in an inpatient medical surgical unit at Mount Sinai Beth Israel
· Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
· Provide counseling, crisis intervention, discharge planning, advocacy
· Participate in treatment planning rounds
· Obtain supervisory clinical hours toward an LCSW
· Procure free CE credits toward licensing renewal through attendance at our monthly Grand Rounds
Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. Knowledge of social work services, theories, techniques, community resources and agencies.
Related experience in the social service and/or health care field, preferably one year in a medical social work/discharge planning setting, which can include related field placement. Excellent communication/interpersonal and organizational skills, analytical abilities and basic computer skills required.
New York State Licensure (LMSW) from the New York State Department of Education
Bilingual: Spanish or Cantonese a plus
