Perform all phases of obstetrical ultrasound and ultrasound guidance for invasive procedures in the Maternal-Fetal Evaluation Unit.  Is cognizant of the philosophy, standards, objectives and policies of the Department and the Hospital Center.

  • Reviews test requisitions, previous exams, and patient charts
  • Adheres to ALARA (as Low As Reasonably Achievable) principal and FDA guidelines for fetal examinations to minimize ultrasound exposure.
  • Cleans and disinfects trans abdominal probes after each use.  Sterilizes and stores transvaginal probes after each use.  Cleans ultrasound machines and filters as needed
  • Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with the patients, families and significant others.
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned or perform other duties when necessary.


  • Graduation from ACCHE - approved Ultrasound Program or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year experience performing obstetrical ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures in a high-risk setting.  Active status, registered (ARDMS) RDMS in OB/GYN Ultrasound.
