Offsite Pulmonary Technician - 75707

 
Roles & Responsibilities:
  • ·        Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks

    ·        Performs special tests on patients with spirometers, oximeter, and exercise treadmill

    ·        Records tests performed on patients and prepares billing charges for each pulmonary function test

    ·        Organizes patients results for physicians to interpret and review

    ·        Calibrates instruments daily according to routine lab procedures

    ·        Records all lab work done in lab book and maintain records, quality control results and proficiencies related to regulatory requirements

    ·        Maintains instrument sin working order and calls for repair services as needed

    ·        Maintains a clean working area at all times

    ·        Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families and significant other

    ·        Displays courtesy and patience during interactions with all members of the hospital staff and extended community

    ·        Assists at the front desk as needed

    ·        Perform other duties as required

Requirements:

  • EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT

    ·         Bachelor’s Degree

    EXPERIENCES AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED

    ·         Experience with spirometry techniques preferred
