Roles & Responsibilities: 
  • Answers phones efficiently, providing timely, and courteous access into the system

    Listens closely to all the customers’ requests and concerns and follow through appropriately

    Obtains complete and accurate demographic and insurance data by interviewing the patient over the telephone and entering information in the Eagle System

    Verifies the patient’s insurance coverage and if necessary secure additional information from the physician or patient; evaluate patients Medicaid status (if appropriate)

    Pre-Admits patients on Eagle system

    Processes Maternity Reservations

    Copies and distributes OR schedule to designated areas

    Stat edits accounts on Ontrac for cases that are processed less than 24 hours prior to the date of service

    Notifies the patient of any deposits or financial liability they are required to pay

    Obtains credit card number for said liability when possible, makes date one day prior to PAT appointment

    Notifies patient/physician of insurance pre-certification requirements

    Notifies appropriate areas of all cancellations of admissions, surgeries, and pre-testing

    Computer literacy and knowledge a must

    Consistent accuracy in data entry a must


 


Requirements:

  • Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements. High school graduate or equivalent.


    Must possess knowledge of the Eagle ADT system.  Familiar with the third party Insurance verification process and regulations.  Keypunching experience is required. Types at least 45 WPM.
