The Women & Children’s Services at Mount Sinai are leaders in providing all aspects of care to mothers-to-be and their family members and children. Our goal is to make your stay as comfortable as possible, and provide you with all the necessary education and services to help you and you’re your family prepare for your baby’s birth. This is accomplished through patient and family-centered care and the utilization of multiple resources – including various wellness amenities- at Mount Sinai. Outreach to the community is also a core element of our services, as it is pivotal in the restoration and maintenance of women’s health. Through an interdisciplinary
family-centered approach, the Women’s Center provides mothers and their families with exceptional care, treatment, and education, which enable them to return to the homes and maintain health
What You'll Do:
- Administers and assigns patient care activities for up to 15 LDRs, 6 Triage with 3 ORs, 2 Ante-partum, 2 Post-partum beds, and 6K deliveries per year with 120 employees.
- Patient experience and safety initiatives
- Reviews clinical performance of nursing personnel via anecdotal records, conferences and evaluation process.
- Serves as a resource person for the nursing staff within the unit or other units.
- Serves as a preceptor role model in the clinical setting for staff and affiliating students. Participates in the selection of staff members who may serve as preceptors.
What You'll Bring:
- BSN, required
- MSN, preferred but not required
- Must have 3-5 years in Labor and Delivery experience with charge/supervisor experience
- NYS RN
