Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsible for the following receiving policies and procedures for the storeroom of the Pharmacy.

  • Responsible for receiving pharmaceuticals and supplies, verifying count and quantity of merchandise.
  • Handles products according to proper safety procedures.
  • Responsible for documentation of all delivery discrepancies on vendor invoice, purchase/receiving logs.     
  • Accurately fills requisitions with correct quantity and products requested.
  • Delivers and stores all received merchandise to the appropriate storage area. Labels and dates all items to be stored.
  • Helps with daily and weekly inventories in selected areas.
  • Readies all staples, cleaning supplies, and paper goods for requisition. 
  • Responsible for maintenance and sanitation of the receiving and storage areas using proper chemicals and procedures.
  • Responsible for closing the storage room area.
  • Performs other responsibilities as required.


  • HS/GED
  • Must be able to read, write legibly, and be able to perform simple arithmetic
