Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provides the professional, courteous, time efficient, patient centered and accurate clerical support required to facilitate patient care in the Emergency Department
  • Registers patients promptly according to triage level
  • Registers patients accurately and efficiently
  • Prints financial page and attaches to ambulance sheet
  • Processes admissions in a accurately and timely fashion
  • Education: Minimum high school diploma, or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: Basic word processing and data entry skills. Must type 25 – 30 words per minute
  • The Emergency Department is a fast paced, physically demanding and frequently stressful environment. The employee must be prepared to lift/move patients and heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodations. There is the potential for exposure to pathogens and contaminants requiring appropriate understanding and proper use of personal protective equipment and universal precautions.
