Electrician A- Engineering- Requisition # 78357

 
Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Installs, tests and repairs electric light and power circuits, equipment and appliances
  • Cleans and repairs motor and electrical fixtures
  • Installs wiring for electrical devices, equipment, and related testing
  • Fasten fixtures, switches and outlets boxes in position
  • Makes repair and installations in shortest time possible and work often under emergency conditions and difficult situations
  • Replaces bulbs, ballasts, fuses, switches, outlets, plugs and other simple parts on electrical appliances and fixtures
  • Examines and repairs variety of electrical appliances and fixtures; rewire, attach connectors, element and brush
  • Mounts fans an fixtures to wall; cleans, oils and maintains
  • Inspects, repairs and tests communication systems
  • Repairs and maintains electric motors
  • Provides assistance to more skilled workers; makes frequent adaptation to meet emergency requirements
  • Keeps up-to-date with and conform to electrical safety practices and building code
  • Records time and material daily
  • Participates in the department’s performance improvement activities
  • Maintains patient/employee confidentiality in the management of information
  • Participates in the development of other staff members
  • Meets regulatory, licensure and annual health assessment requirements
  • Identifies learning strengths and needs
  • Utilizes learning resources
  • Demonstrates a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, families and significant others
  • Displays courtesy, tact and patience during interactions with all members of the hospital staff and extended community
  • Adheres to Continuum’s legal and ethical standards
  • May be required to perform other duties as assigned


 Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
