Job Title: Registered Dietitian

 

Job Summary:

 

The dietitian’s prime responsibility is the patient care. Documents patient nutritional care in medical records as per JCAHO and New York State requirements. Coordinates patient nutritional care with the physicians modifies patient menus Supervises patient tray line. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

  • Documents nutritional assessment in medical records
  • Makes regular visits to patients
  • Develops, implements and evaluates nutritional care for patients
  • Modifies therapeutic menus based on diet orders and patient request
  • Reviews patient menus for completeness and accuracy
  • Conducts meal rounds
  • Check tray assembly
  • May give in service lectures to employees

 

Requirements:

 

·         Baccalaureate degree in Nutrition Sciences 

 

Licensing and Certification Requirements: 

Registered Dietitian (RD) Issuing Agency: NYS Department of Licensing
