Roles & Responsibilities: 

1.     Performs cardiopulmonary evaluation, respiratory therapy techniques and education to the patient, family and public

2.     Assesses patient’s needs for respiratory intervention and collaborates with the interdisciplinary patient care team

3.     Develops and/or contributes to a patient centered plan of care on selected patients, based on clinical standards of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team

4.     Provides respiratory therapy to patients located in the low volume patient care areas

5.     Provides respiratory therapy consultation

6.     Performs therapeutic treatments and procedures





Graduate of an AMA School of Respiratory Therapy. Licensed by the NYS Education Department and registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.


Effective interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to problem solve using critical thinking. Basic computer skills.


Certified in Basic Life Support.


Ability to lift and move heavy objects/patients with/without reasonable accommodations.
