Roles & Responsibilities:

The Radiology IT Senior Systems Analyst will support the radiology applications and their use by departmental and hospital staff.  The analyst will join the Radiology IT team and work with other analysts and managers, as well as with other teams within the Mount Sinai Health Systems IT support structure.  The Senior Analyst works at a higher capacity than the Analyst in terms of expertise in work flow, applications and infrastructure.

•   System Support Level I for all radiology applications.

•   System Support Level II for one or more radiology applications.

•   Resolve user issues as submitted through the hospital IT issues ticketing system.

•   Resolve escalation of issues pertaining to area(s) of expertise.

•   Interact with users with radiology IT tickets.

•   Monitor daily reports and resolve issues listed, such as demographics and provider discrepancies.

•   Monitor inbound and outbound interfaces and related errors.

•   On call duty to include all System Support Level I duties.

•   Participate in off hours troubleshooting and resolution of production issues in area(s) of expertise.

•   Test new versions and updates of radiology applications.

•   Participate in go lives, including off hours implementation.

•   Train users on applications and related work flow.

•   Provide feedback to management on consideration of upgrades and maintaining current technology

•   The ability to effectively communicate with team members, peers, vendors, and customers verbally and in written form is critical. 


•   Two+ years work experience in IT, preferably in healthcare.

•   College diploma or university degree in computer science, information sciences, or related field preferred.

•   Knowledge and experience of the following is highly desirable:

-   GE Centricity RIS-IC

-   GE Centricity PACS, Universal Viewer, RA1000

-   Nuance PowerScribe 360

-   MagView

-   Ikonopedia

-   GE ConnectR interface engine or HL7 standards

-   Relational databases

-   Crystal Reports

-   PC architecture, OS, and maintenance
