Job Title: Instructional Designer/E-Learning 

The Instructional Designer develops and designs courses, processes, and digital content that demonstrate positive learning outcomes.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Designs and delivers engaging learning opportunities using interactive, online and blended learning standards as well as adult learning principles.
  • Works with leadership to identify what students need to learn.
  • Develops objectives and ensures that content matches those objectives.
  • Continually revises and rewrites content as necessary based on student and leadership feedback.
  • Ensures that learning materials are intuitive, informative, and consistent with current instructional design and learning principles.
  • Creates engaging instructional content for inclusion in online learning opportunities.
  • Adapts instructional materials created for one format to another format, i.e. classroom to e-learning.
  • Promotes effective communication across a diverse group of faculty and staff, articulates project plans and goals clearly in both spoken and written forms.
  • Generates reports assessing the overall effectiveness of produced blended and online course materials.
  • Performs other related duties.


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field required; Master’s Degree preferred. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  • 2 years of relevant experience in education based course development and educational media production, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with e-learning systems (Articulate, Captivate, Canvas, Blackboard, Drupal, etc.)
