Roles & Responsibilities: 

The Administrative Assistant works closely with the physicians and practice team on all aspects of patient care and office coordination. Duties include reception, patient registration and check in, patient appointment and surgical scheduling and management, word processing and document management, spreadsheet preparation, data entry, minutes taking, mail service, photocopying and other duties as required.

  • Provides direct support to the practice physicians, supervisors, and manager in all aspects of day-to-day office operation tasks and practice management.   
  • Reception duties, appointment and calendar maintenance, with appropriate message taking.                                   
  • Intermediate Microsoft application skills, including: word, excel, power point.
  • Performs mail pickup and department distribution.                            
  • Other duties as requested by department.

Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required, Associate’s Degree Strongly preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification a plus.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2-3 Years of experience working in a heavy volume, surgical practice.
  • Spanish proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Solid coordination, organizational, multitasking, and planning skills required.
  • Ability to effectively interface with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR strongly preferred.
