Roles & Responsibilities:

Perform radiologic examinations on patients referred by physicians in accordance with radiologic protocols.  Must be competent routine diagnostic, operating room, and portables, other procedures as assigned.  Must be able to evaluate radiographs for technical acceptability. Must be comfortable working in an Emergency Department setting.  Other duties as assigned. Complete Patient Satisfaction is our Primary Goal. Provides information to diagnose patient illnesses by operating radiologic equipment to produce radiographs.

  • Verifies patient identification as to departmental policy. Identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
  • Ensures operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Maintains radiology supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies;
  •  Prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records (including the completion and verification of exams.)
  • Assumes on-call duties


REQUIREMENTS:

  •       Graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology
  •       Experience: 2-5 Neuro Endovascular Experience Preferred, experience with special procedure preferred
  •      Licenses: Radiologic Technologist, AART certification
