Faculty Intensivist Positions in the CT ICU and CV ICU at Mount Sinai Hospital
This position will include an academic appointment in the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as well as an academic appointment in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery or Department of Cardiology depending on the applicants primary specialty. Experience with critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients is preferred. Candidates will be expected to be proficient with standard intensive care procedures (central lines, S-G catheter placement etc).
Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Physicians who may wish to split their time between Critical Care and a primary specialty (e.g., Anesthesiology, Surgery, Medicine, and Emergency Medicine,) are encouraged to apply.
The Cardiothoracic ICU and Cardiovascular ICU at Mount Sinai:
- 24 bed CTICU & 14 bed CVICU (mixed cardiac surgery & cardiovascular patients)
- 1800 cardiac surgery cases each year and growing
- Routine & Complex Cardiac surgical cases
- Heart transplants, LVAD, ECMO, TAH,
- Transcatheter Valvular Procedures
- 24/7 Attending coverage
