Outpatient Psychiatrist for the new Ambulatory Pavillion at Mount Sinai Queens
Mount Sinai Queens (MSQ) is a 235-licensed bed hospital located in Astoria. MSQ recently opened a six-story Ambulatory Care Pavilion that includes a greatly expanded emergency department and office space for Mount Sinai Doctors, a new multispecialty practice located on the 4th and 5th floors. Together with the Family Health Associates clinic, Mount Sinai Doctors provides access to both primary care and medical and surgical subspecialty care for the Western Queens community.
As part of this effort to increase services at its Queens campus, the Mount Sinai Health System is pleased to announce a new, full-time position for a Collaborative Care/Integrated Care Psychiatrist at MSQ. This position is part of the NYS DSRIP initiative and will focus on managing behavioral health in high-risk populations in both the inpatient and outpatient setting with the assistance of a dedicated social worker specific to the integrated service.
The position includes faculty appointment commensurate with experience in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Candidates must be able to work collaboratively with primary care providers. At least two years of practice experience post-residency is preferred but not required. Qualified candidates will possess a valid license to practice medicine in the state of New York. Bi-lingual English and Spanish speaking applicants are desired.
