Intensivist for Mount Sinai Queens Critical Care and Immediate Care Unit

Job Description

The Critical care division Mount Sinai Queens in Astoria, NY, is recruiting intensivists to care for patients admitted to the critical care unit and intermediate care unit. The position is shift work with a mix of days/nights. Our intensivists communicate and coordinate care with subspecialists on the admitted ICU and IMCU patients and provide supervision to the ICU/IMCU physician assistants in the Emergency department.  The physicians perform central line placements, intubations and manage mechanical ventilators.  The intensivists also lead rapid responses, codes and code fasts. Mount Sinai Queens is a magnet hospital that has a collegial, dedicated inpatient team.  We have recently opened a new 175 million facility with a new emergency department, operating rooms and ambulatory offices.  We are fortunate to be located in Astoria, NY a community made up of families living here for generations mixed with young hipsters.  Excellent restaurants and its short distance from Manhattan make it the best neighborhood in Queens.       

Position Qualifications: 
  • Medical degree from an accredited university
  • New York State Medical License
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine
